Presbyterian Receives Healthgrades’ Recognition Of Excellence For Cardiology Care

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Presbyterian Hospital has received recognitions of excellence from Healthgrades for cardiac care including “Top-rated overall Cardiology program in New Mexico.”

Presbyterian received the following Healthgrade recognitions for 2015:

  • Top-rated overall Cardiology program in New Mexico
  • Five-Star Recipient for Treatment of Heart Attack in 2015
  • Five-Star Recipient for Treatment of Heart Failure in 2015

“Presbyterian is committed to providing our cardiac patients with the highest level of care possible,” said Kathy Davis, RN, senior vice president and chief nursing officer for Presbyterian Healthcare Services. “These Healthgrade recognitions demonstrate the hard work and commitment of our dedicated cardiology program physicians, providers, staff members and leaders.”

Healthgrades is a Denver-based company that independently analyzes 4,500 hospitals throughout the country each year using a risk-adjusted statistical model that takes into account patient acuity. Three years of Medicare fee-for-service patient data (2011-2013) were used for the honors listed below. Star ratings were determined by looking at actual performance versus predicted performance and comparing to benchmarks.
