Newborns in Christmas Stockings At Presbyterian Hospital

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – For more than 37 years, Presbyterian Hospital has gifted Christmas stockings to families with babies born on December 23, 24 and 25. This is the fourth year that Presbyterian’s Volunteer Services team members have handmade the stockings for our Christmas newborns.

This year, four volunteers helped make 40 stockings and 40 matching hats. The event spread plenty of smiles and holiday cheer to families welcoming their new additions during the holidays.

Presbyterian’s Kidney Transplant Center, located at Presbyterian Hospital, is one of two transplant centers in New Mexico. Since the program began in 1986, Presbyterian has performed more than 950 transplants. Presbyterian partners with New Mexico Donor Services, a leading organ procurement organization, and is certified by the United Network of Organ Sharing (UNOS) and Medicare (CMS).
