Presbyterian Hosts Donate Life Rose Ceremony

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – To honor the gift of life made by organ donor and transplant families, Presbyterian Transplant Services and New Mexico Donor Services hosted the 2016 Donate Life Rose Ceremony on December 2 at Presbyterian Hospital

At the event, personal dedications from recipients and donors were attached to roses to be included in the Donate Life Rose Parade Float at the 128th Rose Parade on January 2, 2017. Thousands of roses are added to the float each year, inspiring people nationwide to become donors.

Presbyterian’s Kidney Transplant Center, located at Presbyterian Hospital, is one of two transplant centers in New Mexico. Since the program began in 1986, Presbyterian has performed more than 950 transplants. Presbyterian partners with New Mexico Donor Services, a leading organ procurement organization, and is certified by the United Network of Organ Sharing (UNOS) and Medicare (CMS).
