ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Presbyterian is pleased to announce Brandon Fryar is the new President of Presbyterian Health Plan.
“We are pleased to have Brandon serve as our new President of Presbyterian Health Plan,” said Jim Hinton, President and CEO, Presbyterian Healthcare Services and Chairman of Presbyterian Health Plan Board of Directors. “His dedication, passion and unwavering ability to always put people first will benefit all New Mexicans.”
With 20 years of experience, Fryar will lead New Mexico’s largest locally owned health plan that provides healthcare coverage to 466,000 members statewide. The health plan serves members in commercial, Medicare and managed Medicaid plans throughout the state of New Mexico.
Fryar joined Presbyterian as Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Presbyterian Health Plan in February 2014. Prior to joining Presbyterian he was a partner at Moss Adams LLP, where he led the healthcare industry practice for the Southwest.
Fryar was born and raised in Reserve, N.M., and earned his bachelor’s degree in Accounting from New Mexico State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant and member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Fryar is actively involved in a variety of organizations including: the New Mexico Medical Insurance Pool Transition Advisory Committee; New Mexico State University Accounting Advisory Council; Health Plan Alliance Finance Committee; New Mexico Coalition for Healthcare Value; and the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
Fryar replaces Lisa Farrell Lujan, who will be devoting the majority of her time to expansion efforts in other states.
