The Cancer Center At Presbyterian To Launch Cancer Support Community

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Members of the community are invited to join The Cancer Center at Presbyterian for the launch of its new Cancer Support Community Saturday, October 10.

Help us celebrate a new level of service for cancer survivors and their families. By becoming an affiliate of the Cancer Support Community – an international non-profit dedicated to providing support, education and hope to people affected by cancer – Presbyterian will be able to provide more resources including in-person and online support groups to New Mexicans with cancer, cancer survivors, and their families.

Lunch will be provided and all attendees will be entered in a drawing for an iPad Air. An art table and stretching are some of the many other activities planned for this event.

WHAT: Cancer Support Community Launch Event

WHO: KOAT Action 7 Chief Meteorologist, Joe Diaz, will emcee the event. Clay Holderman, chief operating officer for Presbyterian Healthcare Services will speak about his family’s cancer journey.
Other speakers include physicians and staff from The Cancer Center at Presbyterian and patient Michelle Diamond Reese.
